Bento layouts: bringing order without the boredom
The bento layout takes its name from Japanese lunch boxes: compartments of different sizes, each with its own content.
On the web it works because it organizes mixed information, a number, a photo, a line, a service, into a grid that is ordered yet alive. It guides the eye, gives hierarchy and stays readable on a phone.
The risk is using it as decoration. Done well, every tile has a purpose and a priority, not filler.
How we do it: we design pages that communicate at first glance, with a clear hierarchy of what matters most.
