Real photos versus fake ones: you can see the difference
There is a kind of photo we all recognize at first glance: the group of smiling colleagues around a laptop, the man in a jacket shaking a staged hand. It is the stock photo, and it fools no one.
Those too-perfect images say one thing only: there is nothing real to show here. People skip them, because they know they tell no one's story. An authentic photo, even imperfect, of your shop, your hands at work, real people, communicates in an instant what a thousand adjectives cannot.
When stock makes sense and when not
For a neutral background or an abstract concept, a good stock photo can do. But to tell who you are, your work, your product, there is no substitute for the real thing. An afternoon with a photographer, or even honest, well-taken shots, are worth more than a whole archive of fake smiles.
Authenticity is not bought as stock: it is shown.
How we do it: we rely on real images that tell who you are, because the authentic convinces where the staged leaves people cold.
