Readable URLs: addresses you can read and remember
Look at two addresses: one full of numbers and symbols, the other with readable words. Only one says where it leads.
A readable URL made of real words is easier to read, remember, share and understand, for Google too. One stuffed with unreadable codes helps no one: not the person who sees it before clicking, not the one who pastes it into a message, not the engines trying to make sense of it.
What good ones look like
Short and descriptive, with the words that count and no ballast. Lowercase, separated by hyphens, without odd accents or symbols. Consistent in structure, so the site's hierarchy reads clearly. And stable over time: an address that does not change is one that does not break.
It is a detail, but details added up separate a tended site from a slapdash one.
How we do it: we build clear, stable addresses, readable by people and engines, made to last.
