Testing instead of arguing: A/B tests made simple
In every company the moment of debate arrives: this headline or that, this button or the other. Often the loudest voice wins.
An A/B test settles it without arguing: you show version A to half the visitors and B to the other half, then see which brings more results. Opinion does not count, real people do. It is the most honest way to decide, because it takes ego out of the equation.
How to start without overcomplicating
Test one thing at a time, not ten, or you cannot tell what worked. Start with what matters, like the headline or the call to action, not the color of a border. Wait for enough data before concluding, because two days do not tell the truth. And accept the result even when it disproves our favorite idea.
You do not need a big-company budget: a clear goal and some patience are enough.
How we do it: we put important choices to the test with simple experiments, so decisions rest on facts, not opinions.
