Forms: every field fewer is one contact more
Every form field is a small request for effort. Add up enough effort, and the person gives up.
Many companies ask for too much: first name, last name, phone, company, role, address, all at once, for a simple quote. But the more fields there are, the fewer people reach the end. Often a contact and two lines are enough to really start a conversation; the rest can be asked later, calmly.
How to lighten a form
Ask only what is needed now, not what would be handy someday. Postpone extra questions to the right moment, when the relationship has already started. Explain why a sensitive detail, like a phone number, is needed. And make clear what happens after submitting, so no one is left wondering if they spoke into the void.
A short form is not less serious: it respects the writer's time more.
How we do it: we build essential forms that ask the bare minimum, so more people actually reach out to you.
